After months of praying and talking about the possibility of adoption, today we filled out our application to Bethany Christian Services to adopt a special needs child from China. All of our girls have been asking us for what seems like years to adopt a child. Abigail especially has such a heart for these orphaned children. When I told her that we officially applied this morning she could not contain her smile. She has such a tender heart.
There are so many questions that they would like answered such as age, gender and severity of needs. While we did specify some of these characteristics ultimately we are trusting God to take care of all of the details. One of the details is would we be willing to adopt siblings. This morning, Sherry and I both have had the thought of. "What if God had twins in His plan for us? A boy and a girl?" Wow! I can't wait to see what God has in store for us.
